TECHNICAL FEATURES
Load bearing structure
The load bearing structure is made of a thick steel single-piece base, strongly ribbed and very rigid; the particular triangle structure, with a very wide base, has been designed for long lasting stability and precision under all working conditions.
The newly designed frame enables the operator to an easy approach and let dust and chips fall down directly outside the machine.
The basement provides a wide, solid support for the mobile upright. This ensures that the machining unit has a balanced support, stable and resistant to the most severe machining conditions for high performance quality and precision.
The mobile working unit is made by a solid structure with single beam anchored to the base which moves along the X axis on prismatic guides with high-quality, recirculating ball screw slides.
On the mobile beam are fixed the operating units which move along the Y and Z axes, on prismatic guides with recirculating ball screw slides.
Moving system on the X, Y and Z axes by high-precision, recirculating ball screws.
The X axis recirculating ball screw is located in a way to ensure perfect balance under dynamic loads and to bear very high acceleration and deceleration speeds; this is an important factor in reducing machining times and performing complex operations with the maximum precision.
The movements on three axes are effected by "brushless" motors to allow a higher acceleration (working time reduced), a higher precision and to remove maintenance (the absence of brushes, "brushless" system, allows to avoid it completely).
The centralised lubrication (optional - code 528110) of sliding members and machine movement has been designed to increase the machine reliability and to reduce at the minimum any maintenance time.
Operating unit
The operating unit includes:
· 6 independent vertical spindles on the X axis
· 4 independent vertical spindles on the Y axis
· 2 horizontal spindles (1+1), for drilling in X direction
· 2 horizontal spindles (1+1), for drilling in Y direction
The drilling unit is made of a very strong structure containing the single drilling spindles which run in perfectly ground bronze cylinders (sleeves).
On each machining cycle the single spindles required reach the working position moved by pneumatic cylinders; soon after the drilling stroke (Z axis) is activated driven by a recirculating ball screw.
Optional units

The operating group is pre-set for the installation of 4 optional units (for profiling, sanding, general routing and cutting operation), which can be chosen among the followings:

· Code 528074 4 position tool crib for the automatic tool changing
The tool crib is composed of a mechanical support directly mounted on board of the movable unit which can contain up to 4 different tools (routers up to + 120 mm).The device moves on prismatic guides able to ensure absolute precision and reliability during the automatic tool change.
The support, placed in the rear part of the frame, allows the automatic tool replacement, in a very fast way, with all the ISO 30 routing units (9 Hp) installed on the machine.

The inverter for the control of rotating speed of routing units has got the following technical features:
· IGBT technology for linear power supply even at very low Rpm.
· Self-test for possible errors and automatic reset push-button.
· Automatic control of spindle deceleration and stoppage.
· Automatic protection against current overload.
· Automatic protection against voltage overload.
The extraction equipment (optional - code 523026) integrated in a centralised deadening hood which covers the working units, has been studied to allow an "intelligent" extraction on the single units; this allows to activate the extraction only on the real working tool.
This saves air by increasing the piece cleaning and the quality of work environment.

Working area

The working area is designed for practical, safe, easy use and rapid adjustment for the operator on the whole operating unit.
The standard configuration includes:
· 3 double supports length = 915 mm, 1 fixed and the others moving on the X axis with smooth sliding movement by 4 pre-loaded recirculating ball bushes on 2 ground and hardened round guides which are positioned centrally as regards to the supports to ensure stability in any use.
· System of automatic clamping and release of the supports; it works on sliding guides by pneumatic cylinders which are controlled by a push-button ergonomically positioned to enable the moving of panels by a great easiness;
· Hard rubber non-scratch inserts on the whole working area to ensure precise, stable panel positioning; the inserts are mounted in special guides and are easy to change when worn.
· 6 circular vacuum clamping devices, (2 on each double support), diameter 115 mm; each clamping device is fitted with a filter, an automatic engage/disengage sensor and a rubber suction cup. As optional it is possible to install up to 4 suction cups on each support or different suction cups type (rectangular or multifunctional).
The vacuum clamping devices are self-locking and can be easily positioned anywhere along the Y axis to match the shape and dimensions of the panel being machined.
Operating cycle
When the clamping cycle is activated, the vacuum clamping devices move upwards together for a while to ensure they reach also panels which are not perfectly plane; then the vacuum is switched on and the vacuum clamps move down so that the panel is pulled downwards and rests safely on the work surface.
Self-exclusion device
Whenever it is necessary to make a hole or a through drilling it is suggested to position the vacuum clamping devices in a way that the area occupied by the tool becomes free. Anyway, if by mistake or due to other reasons a device is in that area, it is lowered automatically from the working area as soon as the vacuum is broken.
Since the vacuum device is retracted automatically in these circumstances, any damage caused by accidental contact between the tool and the vacuum clamp is thus prevented.
· 3 automatically and pneumatically operated cylindrical stops (one on each worktable) to align the panels along the Y axis.
· 2 automatically and pneumatically operated cylindrical side stops positioned as follows: 1 left and 1 right to align the panels of any dimension along the X axis. All stops are automatically run by the program according to work type.
· Possibility to install an additional right side stop to work long pieces up to 2800mm in two positionings.
Electric and electronic equipment

The electric cabinet is built according to the highest international standards (norm EN60204) which guarantee total reliability and efficiency of the used elements.

The standard numerical control is KVARA.
As optional are available NUM and PC OFFICE.
